The latest craze among women, especially celebrities, is to show off slim, toned bodies just months and even weeks after childbirth.

However, a group of women have decided to participate in a project undertaken by a photographer to show exactly how women’s bodies look after childbirth.

The photos are included in a book which reveals the truth about the changes that take place in women’s bodies after they have children.

Aishat (Charity) Uzoechina, the 26-year-old daughter of Pastor Raymond Uzoechina, who converted to Islam last year, is set to wed.

The Executive Director of Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, Ishaq Akintola, whose organization has kept tab on the convert for months, said Miss Uzoechina is set to marry on May 2.

Mr. Akintola, a professor at the Lagos State University, said in a message posted to a discussion forum moderated by MURIC, that Miss Uzoechina would be marrying the lawyer who handled her case after her conversion to Islam became controversial.

A very chilling story reported on The Punch today disclosed how an eight-year-old girl, Amarachi Abakwam, escaped a grim fate in the hand of an alleged policeman attached to Police Mobile Force 22, Augustine Gbuchenge. The policeman was a neighbour to the girl’s family at Olufowobi Street, Ketu, Lagos.

The father of the victim, Patrick, said that on the fateful day he had been looking everywhere for his daughter until they discovered her under Gbuchenge’s bed.

Patrick said, “Last Thursday, I returned from work around 7.30pm and met my children and wife outside. There was power failure on that day so everywhere was dark. I asked after Amarachi but my wife said she was probably in our apartment sleeping.

“I was not satisfied with this explanation because my children don’t usually sleep early. When I went up, I did not see my daughter so we started asking around. Some little children in the compound then told me that Gbuchenge had called my daughter earlier to help him buy akara.

“I went to the policeman’s room to challenge him but he denied seeing my daughter so we continued looking everywhere. After sometime, the whole compound got involved in the search and all clues pointed to the policeman.”

Pope Francis has phoned a divorced and remarried Catholic woman in Argentina to tell her that she could "safely receive Communion", according to an extraordinary report in La Stampa.

The woman's husband, writing on Facebook, claims that the Pope – introducing himself as "Father Bergoglio" – spoke to his wife, who'd been divorced before marrying him and told her that men or women who were divorced and received Communion weren't doing anything wrong. He apparently added that this matter is under discussion at the Vatican. (Quick health warning: given the complexity of this subject, we need much more clarity on what Francis reportedly said. I find it hard to believe that he would make such an unqualified statement.)

Youths of Oko community in Anambra State have demanded for the sack of the traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Laz Ekwueme.

Mrs Ogbiyele: was beaten in court by her husband

An Ikeja Magistrate’s court was turned into a battleground when a man, Olufemi Ogbiyele engaged his wife, Bola Ogbiyele, in a fight. The incident, which generated a lot of attention inside the court premises, was alleged to have begun when a friend of the divorce-seeking couple pleaded with the husband, to settle out of court but the plea fell on deaf ears.

Instead, Ogbiyele was said to have grabbed the wife’s handbag, while demanding custody of their three children, and beat up his wife to the chagrin of court attendants.

Counsel to the estranged wife, Barrister Shittu Oladeyinde, who spoke with P.M.NEWS said, “I am also the embattled woman’s friend and was aware that a friend called them to settle out of court. Unfortunately, this fell on deaf ears and the man flared up, demanded custody of his children.

These are not good times for musicologist and actor, Igwe Laz Ekwueme, who is the paramount ruler of Oko Kingdom in Anambra State. The traditional ruler has been forced to flee for his life after rioting residents of Oko set his palace ablaze.

3 survivors of the deadly Abuja bomb blast that killed over 70 people, yesterday narrated their divine deliverance during service at Prophet TB Joshua's church, The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos. And according to them, because they had the prophet's anointing sticker/water on them when the blast occurred, they were saved.

Borno State governor, Kashim Shettima earlier today paid a visit to the schools where over 200 girls were abducted by men suspected to be members of the Boko Haram Islamic sect.

The Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok appeared razed by fire with practically nothing standing in what used to be the school dormitory.

Over 190 girls are still missing from the school according to the principal of the school and parents.

Leading lights like former Education Minister, Oby Ezekwesili have called on the Federal Government to rescue the girls who many believe run the risk of being abused as sex slaves by Boko Haram militants.

A couple in Bayelsa has done the unthinkable to their own flesh and blood after they locked her up in a cage for 3 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Selekeowei Olokumo, residents of Yenagoa, the state capital, left their 16-year-old daughter, Blessing under lock and key because she was prone to convulsions.

Blessing is a twin and 6th out of 16 children of the couple and instead of getting her the proper treatment, they isolated her instead.
