Good News: Photo: Key actor in Chibok girls abduction arrested

In a statement released moments ago, the Nigerian military said it has arrested Babuji Ya'ari, (pictured above), who is described as the key actor in the Chibok girls abduction. Babuji, according to the military, was a member of the Youth Vigilante Group popularly known as civilian JTF, which he used as a cover to spy on the activities of the Nigerian security forces, acting as a spy & gathering information for terrorist group.

The police in Ogun have arrested a pastor in the state over his alleged involvement in the death of his friend.

The preacher, simply identified as Abimbola, fell under suspicion for being the last person to see the deceased, 54-year-old Yusuf Kamilu, before his death.

Kamilu is said to have gone to pay Abimbola a visit but he never returned home as he was found at a roadside the next morning with his eyes and tongue removed.

The opening of a sex toy shop in the Magodo area of Lagos by Nigerian actress, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe has been marked with a lot of controversy.

This led to the actress saying that she did not open an adult shop as she only stocked underwear and vibrators.

The claimant who sells drinks in Orile-Agege, had been the sole signatory to her account since 1970′s before her health deteriorated due to an eye tumor and her only daughter, Sanusi Ifedayo, was included as a joint signatory to the account.

Adebisi told the Magistrate’s Court at the Ojokoro, Agbado area of Lagos that she just got N200,000 of the sum from her cooperatives to undergo surgery for the tumour in her eye which is now impossible as a result of the scam.

A Nigerian man whose home was subjected this week to a racist protest in Belfast said the incident was "like a flashback" to an attempted racial assault on him three years earlier.

Michael Abiona has been forced to give up the house he was allocated in the Knocknagoney area of East Belfast after racists turned up on his doorstep on Tuesday.

Nigerian censors board wants ‘Half of a Yellow Sun’ re-edited

The movie adaptation of Ngozi Adichie Chimamanda’s “Half of a Yellow Sun” will still not be showing in Nigeria, close to two months after it made its debut in cinemas worldwide.

Nigerian censors in their latest statement on the film said the movie could undermine national security. They therefore want cuts to allow the film, partly set during Nigeria’s 1960s civil war, to be shown to Nigerians.

The remains of late singer, Kefee, has arrived Nigeria, ahead of a burial which will hold this month.

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has accused the security agencies of targeting northern Muslims in the arrest of 486 persons in Abia State on Sunday.

The men, all aged between 16 and 24, were being conveyed in 33 buses when they were arrested at the road between Aro-Ngwa and Imo Gate along the expressway by soldiers assigned to the 144 battalion. While two buses were said to have escaped, those arrested were reportedly unable to disclose their destination. But the northern socio-cultural organisation, ACF, issued a statement in Kaduna on Wednesday saying the arrested persons were pursuing their legitimate “means of livelihood in the southern part of the country”.
