Lagos (AFP) - The dismal state of Nigeria's roads is a constant source of exasperation for the long-suffering population but a tongue-in-cheek campaign on social media is trying to shame the authorities into action.

Posting under the hashtag #MyRoadIsWorseThanYours, Nigerians have been sharing examples of the country's worst highways.

Bomb crater-sized potholes, roads resembling muddy rivers in the annual rainy season and some unrecognisable even as public thoroughfares have been posted online.

Indian Man Organize Extravagant 'Wedding' For Monkey Couple

More than 200 villagers in northern India have attended an elaborate Hindu wedding ceremony for two monkeys.

The wedding was organised by the owner of the monkeys, who said the male was "like an adopted son" to him.

The ceremony took place on Monday evening in Bettiah district in Bihar state, with the "bride" dressed in an orange frock and the "groom" wearing a yellow T-shirt.

LAHORE: An enraged mob beat a Christian couple to death and burnt their bodies in the brick kiln where they worked on Tuesday for allegedly desecrating a copy of the Holy Quran, police said.

Nigerian Doctor, Anthony Madu Convicted Of Fraud In UK

A  Nigerian Born doctor faces a potential jail term for secretly moonlighting in other jobs while claiming more than £29,000 in sick pay from his own hospital.

Dr Anthony Madu, 45, carried out well-paid locum work at other hospitals around UK while on sick leave from his job with the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board in Wales.

 According To Daily Mail  NHS bosses had to pay £20,000 to other doctors to cover Madu, meaning the bill for his dishonesty came to around £50,000.

Controversial Kenyan Pastor Victor Kanyari Mwangi while evangelizing in his church, Salvation Healing Ministries recently called up a sick woman from the congregation and proceeded to have his helps undress her top and parade her in front of the audience in a bid to make spiritual healing statement.

The video which was reportedly broadcasted on UTV saw Kanyari ordering his ushers to strip down the woman, whose breasts remained exposed to the congregants all in the name of praying for her.

The triplets, a girl, Dazzle Chizaram Danielle Ike-Ugwoke and two boys, Newton Chinwoke Daniel Ike-Ugwoke, Newman Chinweike David Ike-Ugwoke were dedicated at Christian Pente­costal Mission, Ajao Estate, Lagos, on October 26, 2014, in a carnival like ceremony that was witnessed by friends and family of the couple . The mother of the triplets also celebrated her 40th birthday on the occasion.
