Senator Chris Ngige has come out to debunk the report made by Daily Times Newspaper that he slapped a Catholic Priest. The Senator Representing  Anambra Central debunked the allegation on Friday and this is what he has to say.

 

 

"Agulu People's Grand Alliance is at it again. After their secret agreement where they signed off 5.76 billion of Anambra funds to themselves leaked out to the press; a document Obiano could not successfully deny at the debate yesterday, master liars have gone haywire with the propaganda that I slapped a Catholic priest! Tufiakwa! I am a knight of the Catholic church and can never imagine that even in my dream! That lie is so laughable! Imagine the number of security men, protocol staff, sss and policemen that herald me wherever I go, and someone sits on his computer to type that I have to push and slap people to make way for myself! Pls go and call them liars wherever they are! Liars! Liars!! Liars!!!

Ngige later made another post yesterday where he said these words

"WHOM GOD HAS BLESSED; NO MAN CAN CURSE
No amount of blackmail can clash me with the Holy Roman Catholic Church!"

A teenager who killed herself after her parents banned her from Facebook left a note for a devastated family saying she couldn’t live without the site.
Aiswarya Dahiwal, a second year college student from Parbhani, in the Maharashtra state of India, had asked her parents for permission to log on to the site on Wednesday, but they said no.
The teenager then got into an argument with the couple who told her that she should pay more attention to school work, and spend less time on Facebook.

The family also argued about Miss Dahiwal making long mobile phone calls to her friends.
Her body was found on Thursday morning, and police said that she had hanged herself.
A note found in Miss Dahiwal’s bedroom said that she had taken her own life because she was not allowed to go on the social networking site.

Mugabe warns Ministers over having Girlfriends outside their Marital home

Parents Beware:To Slap Your Child Is Now An Offence As A 49 Years Old Mother Is Arrainged For Slapping Her Daughter

The police on Friday arraigned a mother, Rebecca Osagie, 49, in an Igbosere Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, charged with assaulting her daughter.

The accused, who resides at Mama Garden Estate in Victoria Island, Lagos, is standing trial for allegedly slapping her daughter. The prosecutor, ASP Eniola Ekuma, told the court that the accused committed the offence on October 17, 2013, at the above address.

The Famous Ogbunike Cave

Ogbunike Caves are situated in a valley behind the “Ogba” hills in which lies St. Monica College, Ogbunike. Descending into the valley where the caves are located is a lengthy walkway made up of about 317 steps said to have been constructed by the Anambra State Government in the mid 90s.
At the end of the walkway is an open space used as a reception point where visitors are by tradition to remove their shoes. The main cave consists of a massive structure with a big open chamber of about 5m high, 10m wide and 30m long at the entrance.

There are 10 tunnels at the main chamber leading to different directions. Within the tunnels are big chambers and other tunnels of varying lengths, some of which are inter connected. The caves are occupied by a large colony of bats of various sizes.

There are streams and body of water at various places. A stream flows out from one of the tunnels into a rapid flowing river (River Nkissa). At the meeting point of the river and the stream one can feel the warm water from the caves and the cold river water.

" A 29-year-old medical student, Mrs Ariyike Adebiyi,  has urged an Agege Customary Court in  Lagos State to dissolve her marriage to a man she described as a dropout.

Ariyike, a student of the Obafemi Awolowo University,(OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, told the court that her 33-year-old husband, Femi, charmed her  into marrying  him.

Why have you not renounced Ifa worship in this age when many are being converted to Christianity and Islam?

Despite that many are being converted to these foreign religions, we still have some people who are embracing Ifa here in Nigeria and even abroad. This is because the knowledge of Ifa is spreading wide. Before, very many people didn’t know what Ifa was all about. Those who brought these foreign religions tried hard to rubbish Ifa and they painted it black to make our people accept their religions. Many people are afraid of traditional religion and they were not proud to associate with African Traditional Religion.

But now some of those who attend churches and mosques are now embracing African Traditional Religion. More people are now being initiated in this religion. Lots of Europeans and Americans are coming to be initiated into Ifa worship. Some people came from United Kingdom recently to be initiated into it. This is what early missionaries rubbished to have their religions spread to us but I am happy that their offsprings are now coming to embrace it.

 

How do you feel when people equate Ifa with evil?

The early missionaries started this. They brought civilisation and started calling Babalawo witchdoctor and painted them black to scare away people from them. But now, nobody calls Babalawo a witch doctor anymore. Babalawo is an Ifa priest, just like you have priests in churches and Muslim clerics in mosques.

The appearance of a crocodile in an office at the Baruten Local Government Area Secretariat at Kosubosu in Kwara State, on Friday, caused pandemonium, forcing workers to scamper for their
