Hardly a day passes in Nigeria without one hearing some sort of heartbreaking news.

The latest incident which occurred in Bayelsa is nothing short of shocking as a teenage girl was locked up in a wooden cage for about 30 months by her parents over an alleged strange ailment attributed to witchcraft.

For two and half years, the girl named Blessing Olokumo, a twin and an indigene of Ayibatari Quarter, Opokuma, in Kolokuma-Opokuma local government area of Bayelsa was held in that cage until her release by members of a foundation.

Uganda Court Orders Deportation Of Briton In Gay Sex Case

A retired British man at the centre of a gay sex case in Uganda will be deported Wednesday, a court ruled.

"The court orders immediate deportation within 12 hours," of Bernard Randall, judge Hellen Ajio said.

An earlier charge of "trafficking obscene publications" against Randall was dropped.

An official from the prosecutor's office gave no reason for the change, but said Randall was being deported because he had "kept on corrupting Uganda's youth" and had not renewed his visa on time.

 Cameroonian-Nigerian musician Singer and owner of Whitenecious bleaching cream, Dencia came out the other time to declare she was a celibate, two years now and counting.

N1.5m Bride Price Drove Me Into Robbery —Suspect

A robbery suspect, Mr Godwin Olukporibe, has confessed that he was forced to form a robbery gang when his father-in-law asked him to pay N1.5 million bride price before he could marry his pregnant girlfriend.

 Olukporibe allegedly claimed his father-in-law initially refused to give his daughter’s hand in marriage despite the fact that he had impregnated her and wanted to marry her.

However, after much persuasion, he gave the condition that he must give him N1.5 million as bride price.

Father In Court For Raping, Impregnating 14-year-Old Daughter

Thirty six-year-old Aminu Ajao has been arraigned before an Ebute Meta magistrate’s court for allegedly raping and impregnating his 14-year-old primary school daughter (name withheld). Punch Newspaper Reported 

Ajao was arraigned on Monday on two counts of rape.

The police said the incident happened on Wale Azeez Street, Ajasa, Lagos State.

The magistrate, Ms S.O Solebo, called the victim’s mother and her stepmother to court to give an account of how the event unfolded.

Chilean Teen Is Arrested For Selling Her Unborn Baby On Facebook For Just 18,000 Naira

A Chilean teen sold her unborn baby on Facebook for just £68 which is equivalent to 18,000 Naira, police said.

The 18-year-old woman, named as Veronica Carrera Chaparro, was arrested alongside her mother and sister who are accused of helping her with the sale.

Police claim that Chaparro found out she was two months pregnant in February 2013.

He told her then 17-year-old boyfriend and made him promise to keep the news quiet.

Shocking photographs have emerged of a cannibal by the name of Mad Dog in the Central African Republic who was caught on camera eating the flesh of a lynched Muslim man.


According to DailyMail, 'Mad Dog' - real name Ouandja Magloire - is a cannibal who had sworn to get his revenge on Muslims after his pregnant wife, his sister-in-law and her baby were murdered. Mad Dog claims Muslims were responsible for the murders and he was angry with them.   

'They broke down the door and cut my baby in half. I promised I would get my revenge,' he said.

The shocking pictures which you will see after the cut show Mad Dog as he cuts a portion of meat from the body of a murdered Muslim lying burning on a roundabout in the capital of the Central African Republic, with the body of another a few yards away.

The former Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Humphrey Abah and his wife, Mary are grateful to God over the birth of their first baby after 23 years of marriage.

A thanksgiving service was held in Abuja on Sunday at the United Evangelical Church, National Worship Centre to celebrate the birth of the baby boy and was attended by top government functionaries.

Abah was reported to have given a speech in church saying that he was laughed at for 23 years by his political opponents over his inability to father a child.

Our correspondent gathered that the incident happened about 2pm on Monday while the school activities was going on.

Oyeniyi, who was the headboy in the school, was said to be a native of Oke-irimi,Oro, also in Irepodun LG of the state.
