Texas woman locks granddaughter in a car while she watches movie

  An East Texas grandmother wanted to see a movie so badly, she left her granddaughter in a locked car, authorities said.

Felicia Green, 49, faces child endangerment charges for allegedly leaving the 5-year-old girl in her car Wednesday night to catch a flick at the Carmike Cinemas movie theater in Tyler, according to KLTV.

She reportedly left the little girl alone for at least an hour. Police were called after receiving calls about a child locked inside of the vehicle.

Austin actually planned a stop and check scene with the police before setting off with girlfriend for a restaurant.

 During the planned stop-and-check, the girl was really upset about the police ”harassment” without knowing what her man had in stock for her.

It was in that process that Austin called her attention to her pictures being displayed on a bill board. Just immediately, family and friends emerged and a table was set outside the restaurant.

Day Old Baby Rescued From Grave In Akwa Ibom

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has rescued a day-old baby buried alive by the mother in a shallow grave in Afaha Abia Village of Nsit Ibom Local Government Area.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Gabriel Achong, made this known on Thursday in Uyo while briefing newsmen on the activities of the command in the last two months.

Achong said that the command had arrested the mother of the baby for attempted infanticide, adding that she was being investigated.

Susan Ishaya, one of the 276 Government Secondary School girls abducted in Chibok, Borno State in April by the dreaded Boko Haram Islamist sect, was on Sunday, September 21 set free by her captors, BusinessDay can authoritatively report.

Enoch Mark, the chairman, Association of Abducted Chibok Girls’ Parents, told BusinessDay on telephone that the teenage girl who, he said, was at the moment traumatized arrived Chibok late Sunday having spent four days between the place she was set free and Chibok.

He said: “I have been instructed to take her to Adamawa police command in Yola where she would be medically taken care of. She is traumatized at the moment because her speech is not coordinated.

Nigerian Army Confirms Boko Haram Dreaded Leader Shekau Is Dead

Some members of the Boko Haram sect surrendered to military troops at Mairiga.

The Nigerian military has confirmed that one Mohammed Bashir, who has been acting or posing on videos as the deceased Abubakar Shekau, the eccentric character known as the leader of the Boko Haram sect, was killed in a counter-terrorism operation in the north-east.



Army Spokesman 

In a statement, the spokesman for the military, Major General Chris Olukolade, said that Mr Bashir was killed after members of the terrorist group made not less than four attempts between September 12 and 17 to violate the security strategy and enter Konduga to attack citizens in the area.

“Air and land forces were subsequently deployed to handle the situation.

Angry Tenant Bites Off Landlord’s Lip For Removing Her Door

A 26- year old woman Chinyere Umebionyo has been arrested and arraigned before an Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court for allegedly biting off the lip of her landlord Augustine Nkwazema, in Lagos State, western Nigeria.

Anambra State-born Chinyere became angry when she returned from work and saw that her door had been removed by the landlord.

The incident happened at Olarenwaju street, Ejigbo, Lagos where they both reside.
