Thugs Beat Nigerian Pastor To Stupor For Preaching 'Too Much' In South Africa.





A Nigerian pastor, Zander Emenogo, 48, has been preaching the word of God on the streets of South Africa for 10 years. But he never thought his faith would cause him so much pain.

The pastor from The Evangelical Christian Assembly of South Africa said he spent Saturday preaching in the streets and parks of Joburg.

“I go where the Lord leads me. On Saturday I was standing on the corner of Delvers and Claim streets in the CBD,” he told Daily Sun. He added the message the Lord had given him was about drugs, crime and violence.

The aggrieved caller said it was unfortunate that the road had been abandoned for years with no hope of reconstruction in sight.

The governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano defied the torrential rain across the state to inspect the havoc wrecked by flooding in some estates in Awka and Onitsha. The governor who was presiding over the weekly Exco meeting had to call it off following reports of collapse of buildings and flooding.
Governor Obiano who was amongst early callers at Udoka Estate where a couple were rescued ‎after the collapse of the wall of their building, and Ngozika Estate where another bungalow was submerged, called on Ndi Anambra to stop building on storm water ways and blocking drainage.

El-Rufai sues Union Newspaper over report on alleged N90 billion assets

The Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on Monday sued The Union newspaper, based in Lagos, for reporting that he declared assets worth N90billion before the Code of Conduct Bureau.

The governor, who personally filed the case at the state High Court, was accompanied by his deputy, Bala Bantex, his lawyers and top government officials.

Governor Rochas Okorocha Denies Authorizing Obama's Handshake Billboard, Blames Overzealous Politicians






The Imo state Governor has through a press release distanced himself from the controversial Billboard depicting him shaking hands with President Obama with President Buhari looking on. The picture which went viral online yesterday elicited widespread condemnation from people who saw it as unnecessary.

Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, the governor said that they discovered the billboard was put up by politicians in the state who thought that by doing so, they would impress him. While appreciating the love of those behind the advert, Okorocha urged them to get clearance from the state government next time. Below is a full text of the press release.

Nigerian ‘Prophet’ T.B. Joshua’s prolonged public absence is not only raising concerns among his followers but severely damaging local business in the area where his church is situated.



The last time Joshua was seen in public was nearly three months ago at a ‘Miracle Crusade’ in Mexico City, allegedly attended by over 150,000 worshippers.

However, since his return to Nigeria, the cleric has uncharacteristically not appeared in any church service at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), all of which are broadcast live on Christian television channel ‘Emmanuel TV’.

The Satanic Temple has unveiled a new statue of Baphomet in Detroit in what’s been billed as the largest public satanic ceremony in history.

A Satanic organization unveiled a controversial bronze Baphomet sculpture in Detroit just before midnight on Saturday, after trying in vain to have it installed near a 10 Commandments monument in Oklahoma.

Due to planned demonstrations, the group, which is opposed to Bible-themed displays on government land, kept the location of the unveiling of its 9-foot-tall monument secret until the last moment, when it emailed the information to ticket holders.

Anxiety As Board Dissolution Stalls Release Of Nigerian Law School’s Bar final results

THE recent dissolution and non-reconstruction of boards of federal government parastatals and agencies has put on hold the release of Bar Final Examination results of the Nigerian Law School.

The results were originally billed for release on June 30, 2015 but was shifted till , Friday July 24, 2015. However, authorities of the Law School on Friday issued an “urgent notice” putting off the release of the results again.

Imo State Labour unions yesterday rebuffed Governor Rochas Okorocha’s appeal not to embark on strike and directed all workers in the state to proceed on “warning strike” from today, Monday July 27.

A statement signed and issued in Owerri yesterday by labour movements in the state directed workers to proceed on warning strike from today through Friday July 31.

How Jonathan,Governors,Service Chiefs Prevailed On General Tompolo To Shelve Ex- Militants Meeting




Fresh facts yesterday emerged on how former President Goodluck Jonathan and prominent Ijaw leaders, including state governors from the Niger Delta region prevailed on foremost ex-militant leader, High Chief Government Epemupolo popularly called Tompolo to abort a scheduled meeting of ex-militant generals in Bayelsa State.

According to reports, though several telephone calls were made to Tompolo by the Ondo, Delta and Bayelsa state governors, Olusegun Mimiko, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and Hon. Seriake Dickson respectively, on the need for him (Tompolo) and others to abort the proposed meeting due to the tensed reaction it had generated, the call by Jonathan was reported to have convinced Tompolo to abort the meeting and allow state governors from the region meet with President Muhammudu Buhari on the issues of the hitches experienced in the Federal Government amnesty programme.

NATIONAL leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP today took a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari over statements attributed to him, saying that Nigerians who gave him 97% of their votes will be better treated than those who gave him 5%, saying that declaration was not only vindictive, divisive, but an attempt by the president to govern the country in a discriminatory manner.


According to PDP, the President Buhari was setting a record as no president in the history of the country had ever made such a statement the PDP described as biased and partisan, adding that it has become imperative for the president to come and explain if this would form the basis of government appointments, thereby jettisoning total adherence to merit and the principle of Federal character as enshrined in the constitution.
