The tanker that caused the mayhem
Chaos was the order of the day today in Lagos as three school children were crushed to death in Ikota Road close to VGC by a reckless Tanker Driver.
Mayhem was let loose on the road immediately after the incident as area boys took advantage of the accident to block the road demanding for pedestrian bridge on the road in order to curb the accident which has become a daily norm on the road.
These protesting area boys blocked the road for more than fours hours, causing a long traffic build up on the road.
Not even the presence of soldiers who were drafted to the scene could stopped this miscreants who refused to open the blocked Ikota Ajah Road in spite of the live bullets fired on the air by the soldiers.
It took the Intervention Of the Baale of the area who spoke to the Area boys before the blocked road was opened.
The road is now free and traffic is moving at a snail speed as of the time of going to Press
