Sarah Ibikunle, the 15-year old fish seller who died in the
March 12 Lagos robbery in Lekki has been buried. Sarah was buried on Monday, 23rd,
2015 at Ikoyi cemetery.
It was also learnt that the mortuary in Yaba, where the girl’s corpse was deposited, had earlier asked for a sum of N100,000 for the embalm and burial arrangements, but later changed their minds and gave the corpse to her relations without collecting a penny.

A national newspaper had earlier published that Sarah’s body
might remain at the mortuary for long because of the demanded fees, which made
a pastor who does not want his name in prints visit the family and donated the
money. Her aunt however thanked Nigerians for supporting them during this very
hard time of theirs, saying Nigerians had indeed been helpful to them.
May her soul RIP
