ASUU strike: Public University Students Set To Miss-Out Of Batch ‘C’ NYSC And Law School Training

Hope of final year students in Nigeria public universities getting call-up letters to participate in the batch ‘C’  National Youth Service Corps and law graduates enrolling for the compulsorily one year law school training will be dashed, due to the ongoing strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU.

A reliable source close to the NYSC authority who pleaded anonymity, yesterday said: “Presently, the  potential  graduates  from private universities are being given call-up letters for the batch ‘C’ one year mandatory service of their father’s land. But for those in the public universities, there is no way they can participate in the batch ‘C’ while ASUU is on strike.”
The source explained that since ASUU strike does not affect all facet of the tertiary education, it can not deprive students from other institutions who are qualified and ready to serve their father land.

In the same vein, most law graduates who graduated from the public universities affected by the lingering Asuu Strike may miss out of this year Law School Training if nothing is done to help the helpless law students.

From the information available to Chukwudiiwuchukwu .BlogSpot.com, most of these universities have not utilized the quota given to them by Council Of Legal Education because the students are yet to write their second semester exams and when the exams have been written, the script have not been marked thereby jeopardizing the chances of these students who are meant to resume on 22 of this month.
