A 54- year-old man, Mr. Christopher Ajakaye, recently told an Igando customary court in Lagos State that his wife, Aina Ajakaye, brought some men into his house who threaten to pour acid on him. He also added that she has been starving him of sex
Christopher, who dragged his wife to court for divorce, told the court that he married her 21 years ago and that they have two children.
According to him, she doesn’t allow his children enter his room and out of four rooms, she only allows him into one.
“The most painful thing is that my wife stripped herself naked and rained curses on me. And again, it’s also going to six years since we had sex last.
“ I have been eating from food vendors in the last six years since my wife has stopped preparing my food,” he added.
Christopher further informed the court that his wife had been the one collecting rent from his tenants, while he doesn’t know what she uses the money for.
In her defense, Aina said she fought his husband because he has failed to take up the responsibility of caring for the children.
“He has never cared for our children and I ddn’t threaten him with acid. As a matter of fact, he still had sex with me two years ago,” she said.
The case was adjourned.
