Wickedness: Housewife docked over urine attack on neighbour

A housewife was on Friday dragged before an Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly pouring urine on her neighbour.

A 28-year-old Bola Shakiru, who resides at No. 10, Sanusi Street, Ejigbo, Lagos, is facing a two-count charge of assault and malicious damage.
Mr. Femi Adeleye, the prosecutor, told the court that the accused allegedly committed the offence at the aforementioned address.

“The accused conducted herself in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace by pouring urine on her neighbour, Mary Chijioke,” the prosecutor said.
He also added that the accused maliciously damaged the window louvers and the net on the door of the apartment of the complainant.
Adeleye said that the offences contravened sections 166 and 348 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. Section 348 states that any person who willfully damages the property of another is liable to imprisonment for two years, if found guilty.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Magistrate P. E. Nwaka granted the accused bail in the sum of N20, 000 with one surety in like sum.
The case has been adjourned till December 17 (NAN).
