The rush by delegates to attend the marriage ceremony of a daughter of President Goodluck Jonathan raised unease among some delegates who frowned that conferees abandoned national issues for socializing.

Police Blame Mother, Lover For Toddler’s Severed Penis

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a married woman, Abidemi Akintoye, and one of her lovers, identified only as Fatai, over the injury inflicted on Abidemi’s one-year-old son, Basheeru.

According to Police authorities, Abidemi, who is an alleged nymphomaniac, had left her three children at home to have sex with Fatai in an uncompleted building on Lamidi Ariyo Street, Okota, when someone severed the little boy’s penis.

A policeman attached to the Okota Police Division said, “Abidemi is a very loose woman. She sleeps with many men in the area, including relatives, despite the fact that she is married with three children.

Man Arrested With Severed Human Parts In Ogun State

                  


    Severed human parts were found with a suspected ritualist who was arrested on Wednesday at a place suspected to be a den of ritualists.

The den is located in Iyana Egbado Village, along Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The suspect was alleged to have attempted to kill a woman before she was rescued by a passer-by. The rescuer became suspicious of the cellophane bag the suspect was holding and forcefully tore it only to discover that the contents were severed human parts, a witness said.

PHOTOS Of Hotels And Mansions Allegedly Built By Imo Speaker; State Assembly Sets Up Probe Panel

                                                         

The authorities of the Imo State House of Assembly have appointed a six-man committee to probe allegations of corruption against the Speaker of the assembly, Chief Benjamin Uwajumogu. His former Senior Special Assistant (SSA), Media and later, Special Duties, Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha, had allegedly accused the Speaker and his Chief of Staff, Chikodi Ananekwe of amassing massive wealth, urging the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other anti-graft agencies in the country, to probe the Speaker.

However, the panel is being looked at with suspicion especially because it was the accused himself who set it up.

According to The Guardian:

On resumption of plenary on Thursday in Owerri, Uwajumogu appointed Ikenna Emeh (Isu), as the chairman of the panel. Others are Celestine Ngobiwu (Obowo), Stan Dara (Orsu), Obioma Ekennia (Ezinihitte), Chief Acho Ihim (Okigwe) and Mike Ndubuaku (Orlu). The committee was given 30 days to submit their report. Uwajumogu described the allegation as baseless. Emeh had raised the motion on the floor, stating that the publication in a newspaper (not The Guardian), alleged that the Speaker acquired lands in Abuja and Lagos, among others.

He argued that the allegation was an affront against the house also.

But Iwuoha described the panel constituted as “medicine after death and April fool to deceive Imo people.”

Meanwhile, the governor of the state, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has ordered the arrest of the Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Chikodi Anamekwe, and five other contractors in the state for allegedly collecting huge sums of money from the state government and abandoning the work.

Anamekwe, the owner of the company, the governor alleged, collected the sum of N18 million without executing the job. Okorocha made the orders in a Town Hall meeting in two Local Councils in the state.

Below are photos of some of the hotels, houses and even roads awarded by and constructed by the speaker, which has formed the basis for his current predicament as several Imo citizens are calling for a serious investigation and prosecution against him. There are also two photos of hotels allegedly being built by an associate of the speaker, Hon Ikechukwu Amuka, Member representing Ideato South Constituency  and House member of State And Rural Roads Monitoring Committee.

Other members who reportedly have their own mansions and hotels include Hon. Stan Dara, Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo and chief of staff to the speaker.
