Stories surrounding the Anambra first family has intensified following the altercation between Hon Uche Ekwunife and the Anambra first lady in Poland. The problem between Governor Willie Obiano and his people started after he married his second wife, Mrs Ebele Obiano, available report indicates.
More facts show that what Uche Ekwunife revealed about Mrs Ebele Obiano during the verbal pugilism is a mere tip of the iceberg.
Obiano's woe started when Texaco asked
him to resign following rumours and unconfirmed report that Ebele, the typist he made pregnant
and refused to abort was the one that killed his first wife and maid.
Ebele has since then lived up to reputation because she is in control of Willie's life.
The last person before access to
Willie's office is said to be one Leo Ogbuefi. Sources say Obiano's wife
planted him to monitor those visiting Willie and report back to him,
especially small girls, the type they said makes Obiano to lose his
senses once he sets eye on them.
However, the governor has not
allowed Leo to travel outside Anambra with him, thus causing a big
problem between Willie and Wife, since the wife is insisting that Leo
should be around the governor all the time.
We also learnt that during the last
visit by members of the State House of Assembly to The USA, Willie who
went with them caused serious embarrassment, when, after guzzling large
quantities of champagne touched the Speaker, Chinwe Nwebilie's massive
west region and exclaimed: "I hope this Ukwu has somebody massaging it
oh!"
Immediately on coming back to the
state, Governor Obiano made a son to the Speaker of the state house of
assembly who is in his early twenties and a student of Abuja Law School
his SSA, Abuja Liaison office. The young man immediately took the jeep
and the driver associated with the Liaison office to the law school.
Such is what Willie is turning Anambra State into.
The
question remains: why was Peter Obi deceived into accepting Obiano
widely regarded as being a champagne governor, naive and weak as the
governor of a state like Anambra?
Today,
Obiano has also come under the spell of National Chairman of the All
Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and a delegate to the National
Conference, Chief Victor Umeh.
Chief Victor Umeh, who last month
joined the race for the Anambra Central Senatorial seat in the 2015
general elections has refused to relinquish his position as chairman of
the party or to call for a meeting of the party.
In view of the multifarious problems
facing the new governor, observers ask: Could Obiano survive the crisis
Umeh and his wife Ebere Obiano are causing for him, in just 5 months
old government?
