One thing the Dad did not tell the reading Public was the fact that the son was murdered by a Gay whom he met on social media. A classic definition of Gay hook up that went awry
According the story as I reported it here yesterday, The young man was killed because he refused to satisfy his Gay partner who paid for the hotel room where the deceased met him.
See the post here in case if you missed it Gay Hook Up Went Awry
In a related development, Nigerians Gays who were aware of his sexual preference took to social media to mourn his brutal death
Do not rest easy @neduovi. Stir in your deathly slumber and take vengeance on the hands that took your life.
The
Nigerian government gave vent to the execution of gays in the country.
The murder of Chinedu John Okere is a direct consequence of this
We are content that murderers of @neduovi have been arrested. But it's not enough. The world cannot rest on the circumstances of his death
I pray for safety of all those
in Nigeria whose personal choices may place them in harms way for a
penalty they do not deserve. RIP @neduovi
The murder of Chinedu John Okere comes as a rude shock to me. The boy was undeserving of the fate that befell him
Chinedu John Okere: When Evil Knocks Unwittingly at the Door By kritzmoritz
The truth as I understand it is that Chinedu was gay and lived in Lagos. This private life of his has now come to light because his online friends are in desperate need to point the police to a possible cause for the murder of this 300 level Electrical Engineering student at Covenant University, Nigeria. While the circumstances of his death seem mute at this time, yet it is fitting that the perpetrators of this heinous crime are brought to book.
If his murder was a hook up gone wrong, the world needs to hear this. There is something infinitely evil when a bright young life is cut short on the altar of the private choices he had made. The only crime he seemed to have committed was being trustful enough to meet with a desperate street urchin by name Okorocha Michael in a hotel and thus unwittingly falling in the hands of Evil. They murdered him and fled the scene at ‘DE Homes Hotel’ located in Ejigbo while his decomposing body was only discovered two days later
I pray my instincts and the words I hear about this murder are false because anything otherwise is a pointer to the tragedies that are bound to befall the gay community in Nigeria, particularly since the passing of the anti-gay bill. I have been vocal in my absolute disdain for that law and this is exactly why.
My hope is for the police to do their job and find the criminals who took this life. And I pray for the safety of all those in Nigeria whose personal choices may place them in harms way for a penalty they do not deserve
Well may his soul RIP Amen
Don't act gay!
