APC In Strong Terms Condemns The Transfer Of Father Mbaka, Claims 'Anti-Buhari Elements Were Behind The Action

The caucus of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the south-east on Sunday said some persons who were displeased with the support which Ejike Mbaka, spiritual director of the Adoration Ministries Enugu (AMEN), gave to President Muhammadu Buhari in the build up to the 2015 election, influenced his new posting. Mbaka, the most popular Catholic priest in the south-east, was transferred from Christ the King Parish in GRA Enugu to Our Lady Parish, in Emene, a remote community in the state. 

Reacting to the development in a statement issued on Sunday, Osita Okechukwu, spokesman of the APC South-East caucus, said the new posting would affect a lot of people, particularly “the poor people who were in need of his healing power”. “

Dr. John Danfulani Denied Bail After 24 hours In Police Custody For Criticizing The North And President Buhari On Facebook

Chief magistrate Court 1, Kaduna, has denied Dr John Danfulani bail after being detained by the police for over 24 hours.

Danfulani, a lecturer with the Kaduna State University, KASU, is being held for alleged inciting and hateful statements inthe social media against the people of northern Nigeria, thereby, capable of causing breakdown of law and order in northern Nigeria and other parts of the country. This is contrary to section 417 and 418 of the penal code of northern Nigeria.

The entire Enugu capital city also stood still as over 30 lorries accom­panied by thousands of his adoration faithful escorted him in a motorcade to his new parish, Our Lady Parish, Emene, a suburb of the capital city.

Breaking: EFCC Takes Over Abuja Mansion Belonging To Former PDP Chairman, Adamu Mua’zu

The Abuja home of former national Chairman of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu has been reportedly taken over by heavily armed operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to an eye witness, the anti-graft agency got to the former PDP’s Chairman’s house in Abuja when one of his wives just left the mansion. The house was thereafter ransacked by the EFCC officials.

Federal High Court grants PDP spokesman, Metuh, N400 million bail

A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to the spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh, on the condition that he pays N400 million as bond.

Mr. Metuh is to also submit his international passport, and must provide two sureties with N200 million each. The sureties must have properties in Maitama district of Abuja.
