Bayelsa election inconclusive until tomorrow -INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has rescheduled elections in the entire Southerner Ijaw local government area and some wards in four other local government areas of Bayelsa State till tomorrow (Sunday).

This was announced Saturday night in a press statement issued and signed by the Public Relations Officer of INEC in the state, Timidi Wariowei.


The affected areas include the whole of Southern Ijaw local government area; Ward 9 in Nembe local government area; 13 polling units in Okoroma; ward 4 in Anyam and ward 5 in Okodi (both in Ogbia local government area; Ward 6 and six other polling units in Cape Formosa).

The press statement assured of “timely movement of men and materials to the affected places for accreditation to start by 8:00am prompt.”
