Mr. Tony Onyemaechi Elumelu, Chairman of United Bank for Africa (UBA) is now swimming in the sea of joy. His beloved wife, Dr. Awele gave birth to twins (two boys) recently in Uncle Sam’s country.
The principal reason the couple is in cloud 9 is because the two boys came after the wife had already given him five lovely girls over the years.
For Dr. Awele the latest mother in town, it’s more like a miracle than another child. After having five children, all females for her husband, she almost accepted her fate that she would never produce a male offspring for her husband. But miracle came knocking on her door when she took the leap of faith and tried again. The result is the bouncing boys that have made the chairman of United Bank of Africa a stallion at an impressive age of 52.
Tony Elumelu ensured that his wife did little public appearance when she became pregnant. To avoid further stress, Dr. Awele left the country.
When she delivered the set of twins, Tony Elumelu flew immediately to America to be with his wife, and see his twin boys. He stayed with them for a few days before coming back to the country.
