You May Have probably read that a goat delivered a strange creature at Ekiti State. However this strange and bizarre creature have turned the Ekiti village where the incident occurred to a Mecca of all sorts.

The road to the farmstead is hardly noticeable from the main road through sleepy Ogotun-Ekiti community in Ekiti South-West Local Government Area of Ekiti State. The road even appears to lead to nowhere, considering its quality and size. But the guide said it was the way to Olorioko, one of the 25 or so farmsteads they said Ogotun-Ekiti is renowned with.

A few kilometres on the road, a team of Ekiti Peace Corps members, which was obviously coming from the farmstead, advised on the rough, narrow road and explained that Olorioko was lying about five kilometres ahead. They gave a piece of heart-warming news that they saw the object of the mission and even showed the photographs they had taken with their mobile phones.

Anambra Election Falllout: Return my cars and money, Ifeanyi Ubah orders campaign coordinators

Apparently dissatisfied with the way they handled his electioneering campaign, Labour Party’s candidate in the November 16, 2013 governorship election in Anambra state, Chief Ifeanyi Ubah has reportedly set up a committee, whose responsibility it is, to recover the campaign vehicles and monies he doled out to his directors, coordinators and agents in the state’s 21 local government areas, wards and the three senatorial zones during the campaigns for the election.


Chief Ubah reportedly felt disappointed that many of his campaign workers betrayed him by working for rival candidates which culminated in him coming fourth, with 37,565 votes in the announced results although the election itself is still inconclusive as supplementary elections are to be held.

As a result of this development, many of his campaign workers have been forced to go underground in order to keep their ‘loot’.

Voters Apathy As Anambra Holds Supplementary Election

Officials of Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission and materials arrived early today, some as early as 6.00 a.m, at the various polling centres in Anambra state, for the supplementary election.

But all they met was an apathetic voting populace.

The polls, scheduled for 210 units recorded low turn-out of voters in most of the polling units.

Despite the thin line of voters, heavy security presence and restriction of movement, especially in Idemili North Local Government Area, was noticed.

The Idemili North Local council is the stronghold of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Sen. Chris Ngige, who along with the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Tony Nwoye, his Labour Party counterpart, Mr Ifeanyi Ubah said that they would boycott the poll.

A 25-year-old man, Toheeb Jimoh, has drowned in a Lagos river while reportedly swimming to win a bet.

 

He had allegedly bragged that he could swim the Lagos Lagoon from a particular point to the shore on Saturday evening.

 

It was learnt that when some people challenged his claim, he had allegedly dared them to place a bet. After the bet was placed, he reportedly went on a boat to the point and jumped into the lagoon hoping to swim to the shore.

Wierd World: My wife gave birth to a tortoise, man claims

A man, Emmanuel Abari, on Tuesday claimed that his wife, Catherine Emmanuel-Abari, gave birth to a tortoise in her Angwan Tiv II residence in Agyaragu town, headquarters of Jenkwe Development Area of Nasarawa State.

Mr. Abari said his wife gave birth to a “tortoise” around 12 a.m. on Saturday but the creature died shortly after 5 a.m.

 A Non-Governmental Organisation, Pre-Adult Affairs Organisation, has accused the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, of illegally arresting and detaining a teacher, Abragahou Aminu, for four days for taking a picture of a policeman.

 The organisation said the detention of Aminu, a Togolese, constituted a breach of his fundamental human rights.

Newborn Baby Found Dead Inside Plastic Bag in Lagos (PHOTOS)

A newborn baby boy wrapped in white clothing placed inside a polythene bag was dumped at the back-yard of a compound in Jemtok Street, along Ago-Palace Way, Okota, Lagos.

 

 

The baby was believed to have been dumped by an unknown person, probably a mother. He was discovered at around 8p.m. on November 24, 2013, Sunday.

 

It was unfortunate that the baby was already dead before it was seen. The baby allegedly died of suffocation, while placed in the bag, due to lack of ventilation.

Wonder why some  women are this callous.

One Miss Chinaza Jona, a native of Mbaise in Imo State, who lived in Gyadina, also known as Akaraka, a suburb of Abuja, was allegedly killed in cold blood by her lover and live-in male mate, one Nnaji Sunday Okechukwu, in her room recently.

The gruesome murder of the late Chinaza was revealed by her cousin, Mrs. Justina Ugwoke, who explained that before her cousin had her head almost cut-off by her lover, the couple used to fight regularly. She also added that Mr. Nnaji warned her to desist from coming to settle their disputes whenever they were fighting, just as she added that he used to threaten to ensure that head rolled before he would leave her cousin.

The first runner-up in the Anambra governorship primaries of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Mrs. Uche Ekwunife, has gone  to court to challenge the eligibility of the party’s candidate in the November 16 election, Chief Willie Obiano.

Girl, 12, commits suicide in Ebonyi

 

 

 

 

A 12-year-old girl, Miss Chisom Okechukwu, has committed suicide, hanging herself at her family compound at Nnoche-Uduke Community in Okpoitumo in the Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi.

 

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Okechukwu, a primary five pupil at Nnoche-Uduke Primary School, was said to have left home on Saturday and was not seen until Sunday morning, hanging on a tree at the back of her compound.

 

Her dangling body was discovered by her younger sister, Ndidi, who was going to the toilet dug at the back of the compound.

 

An eye-wtness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, disclosed that Ndidi raised an alarm which attracted their parents and other members of the community who came and brought her down.

“The process of legalization of Islam has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, their mosques would be closed until further notice,” Rosa Cruz e Silva, the Angolan Minister of Culture, was quoted by Agence Ecofin on Friday, November 22.

Silva comments were given during her visit last Tuesday to the 6th to the Commission of the National Assembly.

Late Ondo Lawmaker Dies During Sex With Female Banker In Abuja

I earlier informed you guys this morning that one honorable member slumped and died on Friday. Information reaching my desk reveals that the Honorable Member from Ondo State might have died in the course of sexual gymnastic with a female Banker.

A member of the House of Representatives from Ondo State died in the early hours of yesterday after what security sources said was a sexual affair with a female banker in his private residence located at Gwarinpa Estate in Abuja.

Rep. Raphael Oloye Nomiye, who was 50 years old, was until his death representing Ondo, Ilaje, Ese Odo in Ondo State under the platform of the Labour Party.
The lawmaker was said to have died shortly after an affair with the banker (names withheld).

‘Why I married 7 times in 15 years’

The case of a divorcer, Terver  Iortimin, 45, a farmer,  builder and driver  is particularly appealing. He told Weekly Trust that though he got hooked to matrimony at the tender age of 18, but his wedlock has always been rocked,  leading to divorce after a short while. He said, he married seven wives and divorced six within 16 years.

Iortimin:  “I was 18 years when I married my first wife, Mbakaan. As a budding young man then,  I eloped with her. Among the Tiv people, elopement is another form of marriage, once the girl agrees. And after the act, you go and settle it with the parents by paying the bride price. But her father strongly objected to our marriage because my uncle in the village had married the man’s first daughter and my wife was his last born in the family”.
Iortimin said his first father-law insisted that two of his daughters cannot be married to the same family and all persuasions to make him see reason with him failed and the wedlock crashed in two years, after he sought to kill him physically.   

 

Ondo federal lawmaker slumps, dies

The lawmaker  representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency of Ondo State, Honorable Raphael Nomiye, on Friday, reportedly slumped and died in Abuja.

 The deceased, until his death, was a staunch member of the Labour Party (LP).

It was gathered that the incident happened at his apartment shortly after he reportedly returned from a function.

A family source said that the deceased was healthy and that he never complained of any illness until the tragedy struck.

A 45-year-old trader, Muina Adelami, has asked a Lagos family court in Lagos State to dissolve  her  eight-year-old  marriage to her husband, Shuaib, a clerical officer, on the ground that his sex drive was  high.

“I  have managed to stay this long  in the marriage  because I thought his libido would  go down but that has not been the case.

“In the eight years of our marriage, we only have a child, I had two  miscarrages  as a result of  excessive sex.’’

She informed the court further that her husband liked sex too much and gave  her no breathing space.


“We start having sex every night just before midnight  and this goes on till the  early hours of the next day.  Many times, immediately  after he comes back  from work, he starts demanding for sex.

How Psquare’s Peter performs at own wedding for N8,000

Psquare Peter Okoye’s fee to perform at any event runs into millions of naira. Incidentally, for a paltry sum of N8, 000, the second half of the P Square group performed for a huge crowd during his wedding.

Comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka, was in his elements and he was the person who caused Peter to perform for that amount.

Adeyinka reminded the audience how the twin brothers came to Lagos in a night bus and how they used to perform for N7, 500. He then offered Peter N8, 000 and asked him to perform.

Adeyinka said, “Back then when P-square came to Lagos, they were paid N7, 500 to perform and both of them would not only sing but also break dance and sweat profusely for N7, 500. This is N8, 000, Peter should come and perform for us. He should dance harder because the N7, 500 was for the two of them but this N8, 000 is just for Peter.”

Hausa Facebook Forum Praying for President’s Death Emerges After His Sickness in London

Police, SSS helped Chime lock up wife for four months – Falana

A human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, has alleged that officials of the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Security Service, SSS, were involved in the four months ‘detention’ of Enugu State’s First Lady, Clara Chime.

Mr. Falana made the allegation at the launching of the book, ‘Honour For Sale, An Insider Account of the Murder of Dele Giwa by Major Debo Bashorun’, in Lagos on Friday.

“I have discovered that the police and SSS helped the governor in confining his wife in a room for four months incommunicado,” Mr. Falana said.

This is the photo of a romantic kiss which got a pair of Moroccan teenagers arrested for being a 'danger to social order'.

Police detained the couple, aged 14 and 15, for 'public indecency' after the image they posted on Facebook was picked up and printed by a local paper.
But the incident spawned a wide online protest against Morocco’s authoritarian Muslim regime under the hashtag #Nadorkiss.






The photo - blurred to protect the young couple's identify - was reposted on a twitter account for a Moroccan-based arm of Anonymous, a global group of of so-called hacktivists which claims to campaign for freedom from censorship. 

On their twitter account they mocked authorities for their clampdown, adding: 'THIS is the kiss..THIS is what the Gov feels is destroying the Nat'l order and social harmony of Morocco'.
