The Movement for the Actualisation of a Sovereign State of Biafra has called on Igbos to see the new Biafra number plate number as their identity and one of the criteria for the fulfilment of freedom Punch Newspaper Reported
The MASSOB made the call on Monday, in Enugu State, during the inauguration of its number plate for motorcyclists in Nsukka region of the state.
Leader of the group, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, enjoined motorcyclists not to be afraid of purchasing the number plates as they would not have committed any offence if they did.
Uwazuruike was represented by Chief Larry Odimma, the Aba Regional Administrator of MASSOB.
“The number plate is aimed at identifying Biafrans and forestalling criminal activities among people who hide under our name to perpetrate evil,” he said.
According to him, the plate number is to be sold to people of “unquestionable characters only.”
He commended the freedom being enjoyed in Enugu State, saying, “Unlike what we usually witness in places like Aba, Ontisha and Umuahia where our members are constantly harassed by security agents.”
Uwazuruike urged MASSOB members in the state to always ensure peace and harmony in the conduct of their activities in the state
“We urge you to continue in our vision of non-violence and non-arms carrying as we march towards the takeoff of Biafra government,” he said.
