Ikenna (surname withheld), is a dashing young man working with a new generation bank in Owerri, capital of Imo State in South-East Nigeria. Though aged only 22, the Mbieri, Mbaitoli native already has seven years experience as a homosexual.
A study of Ikenna’s Facebook profile and activities shows that his gay partners are located in various parts of the country. For example, at 10:49pm on October 20, he told a friend based in Calabar, South-South Nigeria: “Essien, next time i come calabar your body go hear am.”
Apparently, neither age nor distance is a barrier to Ikenna in his quest for gay partners.
Attracted by my photos, Ikenna started dreaming of making me his gay lover. Last Thursday, November 7, the Federal Polytechnic Owerri graduate spent almost five hours (from 7:19am to 12:04pm) wooing me.
As a very busy person, I hardly chat with people on Facebook. Even so, I try, out of courtesy, to respond to greetings, no matter from whom. Ikenna’s first contact was at 7:19am. I chose to ignore him because the way he phrased his words made me uncomfortable.
He persisted until I finally answered him at 10:54am. I have chosen not to publish Ikenna’s surname and photograph in the hope that he would turn a new leaf. In future, however, I may have no other option than to fully expose any depraved man who pesters me for a gay relationship, an abominable practice both in the eyes of God and African tradition and for which a forthcoming Nigerian law prescribes 15 years in jail.

Umunna (11:48am): I am a Christian and I am surprised that you claim to be one. A Christian cannot be a gay. God clearly condemns gay lifestyle and I advise you to repent if you want to avoid God’s wrath. I can arrange for someone to study the Bible with you free of charge. Pls don’t let anyone deceive you. Romans 1:24-27 says: 24 Therefore God, in keeping with the desires of their hearts, gave them up to uncleanness, that their bodies might be dishonored among them, 25 even those who exchanged the truth of God for the lie and venerated and rendered sacred service to the creation rather than the One who created, who is blessed forever.
