Photos: Meet Nigerian Youngest Lawmaker, Hon. Obinna Onwubuariri And He Is 36 Years Old

On the 28th of March 2015, the good people of Okigwe North Federal Constituency, Imo state; comprising Isiala Mbano LGA, Onuimo LGA and Okigwe LGA, turned out in their numbers to exercise their civic and constitutional responsibilities of electing one among them to represent them at the lower chamber – the National Assembly.



Engr Obinna Onwubuariri, 36, was elected to represent the people of Okigwe-North at the Federal House of Representatives. He was elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).


Engr Obinna Onwubuariri victory at the poll didn’t come so easy as he had to defeat Hon Mathew
Omegara, who was the APC candidate at the election and the incumbent representing Okigwe North Federal Constituency. At his party primaries, he also had to defeat a two-term and current Honourable member of Imo State House of Assembly – who was a former Local Government Chairman of Isiala Mbano LGA, Hon Simon Iwunze, as well as Hon Chikwem Onuoha; a former deputy Chief of Staff to Imo State Governor, to emerge the PDP Candidate for the election.

Before he was elected to represent his people, Obinna Onwubuariri has been a successful young man through hard work. He has helped in community developments, youth and women empowerment and employment through his philanthropic gestures.

Engr Obinna Onwubuariri is a proud owner of many successful businesses that spread across Tourism management, Real estate, Oil and Gas, etc.

 In a realted development. yesterday  being the 2nd day of November 2015, Hon Obinna toured the three (3) local governments under the umbrella of his constituency.
