Oghenekome Rena Mofe Damijo is the son of award winning actor and Delta State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Richard Mofe-Damijo.  Kome is one of the children he had before he (RMD) married the late May Ellen Ezekiel.  Kome’s mother is Mrs. Esther Etinaebedia.  She is from Ekiti State and a businesswoman.  Kome was educated here in Nigeria and Canada.

THEIR LOVE STORY
The couple, who spoke to ENCOMIUM Weekly, revealed the journey actually started in a church.  Kome and Eniola met at Reverend Chris Okotie’s Household of God Church, Lagos.  They were students at the Sunday School where they became friends. They went their separate ways in pursuit of their education and later reunited at RMD’s 50th bash years back from where they picked it up and decided to take it further.  Kome is 29 while Eniola is 27.

AT THE ENGAGEMENT CEREMONY
Kome and Eniola Mofe-Damijo were engaged at a lavish ceremony on Thursday, December 12, 2013, at The Grandeur Event Centre, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.  The colour of the day was white and shades of pink which was widely complied with.

FOLUSO OGUNJIMI AND HER CREW
The engagement ceremony was handled by the expert in that area, Mrs. Foluso Ogunjimi, former newscaster with LTV 8.  Very well on point when it comes to service delivery, Sokoyokoto, as she is fondly called, alongside her crew, did a wonderful job.

JUMOBI MOFE-DAMIJO AS THE CHIEF ORGANISER
Richard Mofe-Damijo’s wife, Jumobi played a perfect hostess.  Being the groom’s stepmother, she was on her feet dishing out instructions now and then.

THE BIG MAN FOR THE BIG OCCASION
Warri millionaire, Ayiri Emami was the big man for the occasion. The Niger Delta man was in an all white ensemble with his traditional staff of office.  He was at the event alongside his numerous aides.  He, however, disappointed many who swarmed around him upon his departure as he didn’t give out any cash.  He rode in a black Range Rover Sport with registration number AY 911 RI.

NO INVITE, NO ENTRY
The ‘No invite, No entry’ directive was fully enforced at the reception venue.  Guests who stormed The Grandeur Event Centre, Oregun, Lagos, without their invite were stranded on the street.  Those who couldn’t wait in the sun left the venue while others found their way in later in the night
