Undergraduate Robber Dies in Calabar Hospital

Do you guys still remember the pathetic case of three undergraduate armed robbers(one male and two female) caught in Calabar, who were stripped naked by the mob and assaulted.  The  video was recorded and it went viral and  I shared the video here.

Well the bad news is that one of the alleged armed robber is dead as a result of the injury inflicted on him by the mob.

The male suspect, whose name was given as Eze Okechukwu, with two of his female accomplices were rounded up while attempting to dispossess a businesswoman of her N1.5million in a ‘one chance’ cab.


The state Police Public Relations Officer of the Cross River State Police Command, Mr. Hogan Bassey who confirmed the incident, absolved the police of any complicity in the arrest and torture of the suspects, saying the arrest and torture was by a mob.


He said the suspects were rushed to hospital after a team of policemen from the police headquarters rescued the suspects from the mob.


“Suspects were rushed to hospital with broken skulls and mutilated genital organs, occasioned by the inhuman attack on them by the mob”.

Hogan Bassey said Eze died after the doctors had commenced treatment and one of the females is said to be in a critical state, as urchins were said to have indecently inserted hard objects into her private part.

Sad how cheap Life have become in this part of the world.
