It’s bad enough if you’re a man who has had his private parts injured — or heaven forbid cut off — but to add insult to injury, Deuteronomy 23:1 states:

Gentlemen — if you ever get in a fight and you get the feeling your lady might jump in and lend you a hand by squeezing your opponent’s… ahem… “secrets,” you’d better stop her.
Deuteronomy 25:11-12 states:
When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets
Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.

Losing Your Virginity Before You Get Married

Today it might be harder to find a bride who is a virgin rather than the other way around.
But Deuteronomy 22:20-21 states:
But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:
Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you

  1. Remember Saint Paul went into a trance. He became very hungry and saw a table laid bare with all sorts of animals (pigs, lobster, prawns etc) and God said to him rise, kill and eat. He said 'no Lord, for these are unclean'. God replied him saying call not what I have created unclean. There are many things forbidden in the era of the old law, but Jesus came to liberate us from the law that did for instance put women away beyond the walls during their monthly cycle or that which forbids a man shave off his head.

  2. As for Bishop or Archbishop, it is with pity and shame that Nigerians have totally gone off the mark and misconstrued the good meaning and intentions of the office of the bishop. Being a bishop or archbishop is a title and office with political affiliations. This office is recommended by the church council about a priest/pastor/rev to the elected or appointed political governing body of a country. The governing body which must be the present government will then award and authorise the office and title of bishop and archbishop which is why we have Archbishop of Canterbury or Rev. John Sentamu Bishop of York, Olubunmi Okogie Bishop of Nigeria, etc. For Nigeria and unfortunately now in Ghana people give themselves the title as they would suddenly wake up to announce they are Dr,,,,,, Let us all help them by not calling them these title as ordinary names. Let us bring back the pride we had as intelligent people. These so called men of God are further dividing the gap between the rich and the poor which is why they assume these titles to create fear and Lord it over their congregation.
