MOST EXPENSIVE SECONDARY SCHOOLS ON PARADE IN NIGERIA



Amazing facts have emerged that some private secondary schools charge exorbitant fees which ranked them among the most expensive in this part of the world. In fact, they are more expensive than the top private universities in Nigeria.

Recent  checks revealed that some private secondary schools charge from N2 million to over N4 million.

BRITISH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
The British International School at Landbridge Avenue, Oniru Private Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos, is a  multi-national co-educational English medium school established in September 2001. It is the most modern in Lagos with excellent facilities which include a multi-purpose hall, music suites, theatre, computer suites, science suites, tutorial rooms, swimming pool and many more.



However, at British International School, if you want to enjoy all the boarding facilities, you pay as much as $26,750 + N200,000 which includes additional charges. Parents pay their children’s tuition fees in dollars but going by Nigerian currency, each student pays N4,480,000 annually. This also includes their feeding, uniforms, textbooks, etc.

LEKKI BRITISH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
The school is located at Victoria Arobieke Street, off Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. Lekki British International School is the original British School in Nigeria. It is all boarding. It was established in the year 2000.

The school supplies the needs of each student. They provide everything that is of international standard as well as creating a condusive environment to encourage a balanced pursuit of study and recreation. The hostels have excellent facilities including fully air-conditioned dormitories and a well equipped common room with cable television video and other recreational facilities.

The tuition is commensurate with the facilities. They pay as much as $19,500 + N200,000 development fee. In naira, a student pays N4,000,300 per session including feeding, school uniforms, hostel, Sunday wears and textbooks.
Other facilities are fully air-conditioned class rooms, internet-connected desktop computers, well equipped laboratories and theatre room




GREENSPRINGS SCHOOL
Greensprings School is at 32, Olatunde Ayoola Avenue, Anthony, Lagos and another campus in Awoyaya, Lekki (Lagos). It was established in January 1985, as a Montessori school. Fees include a registration which is once, tuition, textbooks, school uniforms and PTA levy.

Boarding fees include a boarding deposit (caution fee, which is refundable on leaving the school). House wear, Sunday wear, medical deposit, student imprest account.

The school fees is as high as N3,185,200 annually for a boarding student and N1,925,200 annually for day student.

ATLANTIC HALL
Atlantic Hall is at Poka, Epe, Lagos. This is a private co-educational and full boarding secondary school. It is a first class institution in Nigeria. The school has a well equipped medical centre, sporting facilities, well equipped laboratories, swimming pool, etc. Weekends in school is filled with a wide range of social activities including concerts, talent shows, dances and film shows.
However, at Atlantic Hall, parents pay as much as N2,270,000 annually. Additional charges like uniforms are excluded from the fees.

CHRISLAND COLLEGE
It is located at Ladipo Oluwole Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos. Chrisland School is a vibrant modern and unique school. Their facilities include spacious fully air-conditioned classrooms, modern laboratories, music and drama studio, wireless internet access, stocked library, swimming pool, well laid out air-conditioned cafeteria, basketball court and many more.
Fees are paid annually or termly but on or before the first day of school. These include registration, tuition deposit, accommodation and feeding. Student pay as high as N2,000,000.

DOWEN COLLEGE
This is an independent co-educational boarding and day school in the heart of Regency Town, Lekki, Lagos. It offers a broad and balanced education within a friendly, caring and happy environment. In order to make learning worthwhile, the school provides a well equipped library, computer centre, internet connectivity, cultural facilities, football pitch, swimming pool and many more.

The tuition fee includes, feeding, school uniform, house wear, textbooks. Students pay as much as N2,000,000 for boarding and N1,250,000 annually for day.


American International School of Abuja – N3.2 Million
AISA is Abuja’s most expensive School with School fees starting from $13,000 per annum for kindergarten to as high as $19,300 for 9th to 12th grade (high Schoolers). This doesn’t include other charges and fees such as clubs that parents are expected to pay as well.

Loyola Jesuit College – N2.2 million plus per annum
Perhaps you could argue Abuja’s toughest school for the rich, here Academic and spiritual activities are taken very seriously with no room for sloppiness. The School charges N2 million per annum for each child and that’s just for fees and boarding facilities. But you can be sure of one thing – your child’s Education is in good hands.

International Community School – N1.9 Million per annum
Abuja’ school for the international community better known by its acronym ICS is Abuja’s 3rd most expensive school. Their new location at their permanent site in Jabi gives them an exclusive preserve but in addition they’re fast picking pace as a school with growing popularity among the international community in Abuja.

Nigerian Turkish International College – N1.6 million per annum
Operating a Turkish based curriculum for the Nigerian environment the NTIC is a world class school in Abuja situated on Monrovia Street in Wuse 2. For your money’s worth this school offers excellent academic and extra-curricular activities.

Regent School Maitama  Abuja– N1.35 million per annum
A high quality British based Education for your wards is a watch word at the great Regent School in Maitama. School fees vary but presently pegged at N1.35 million per annum for Senior Secondary.
7.   Loyola Jesuit College Abuja is a private Roman Catholic Secondary School was operated by Society of Jesus Religious Order. It was opened on October 2nd, 1996 and was naked after the founder St. Ignatius of Loyola. Students pay N631, 500 covers tuition, uniforms, sandals, textbooks and supplies, room and boarding.
