Finally: Security Operatives Hands Over Governor Chime’s Wife to Mother

Embattled Mrs. Clara Chime, wife of Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime was on Monday evicted from the Enugu State Government House and handed over to her mother at Coal City Garden Estate, Enugu.

It was gathered that the governors’ wife was said to have returned to her mother by security operatives this morning at about 9am.

A source at government house said she was forced into a convoy this morning and driven away by stern-looking security men.

It could be recalled that agents of the Enugu State Government had allegedly attempted to return Mrs Clara to her mother last Sunday night but failed because her mother was said to have travelled to her village over the issue.

The security men, who stormed the Estate at about 9pm last Sunday, reportedly returned with Clara to government house lodge after the fruitless exercise.

Meanwhile, the leader of traditional rulers in Amuda, the native town of Mrs. Clara Chime, Igwe Bob Ogbenna has kicked against the ill-treatment against their daughter.

He disclosed that the traditional rulers in the area have concluded arrangement to meet with Governor Chime over the development.

He insisted that the way their daughter was treated was not how to dissolve a marriage that produced a son.

When LEADERSHIP tried to find out why Mrs Clara was returned to her mother, a source at Government House said her refusal to keep mum on sensitive and burning issues might have informed the decision to evict her.

“You know she decided to let the cat out of the bag and she is not ready to be silent on certain issues even when Oga himself kept quite on the issues. You also know that Oga might have felt bad that she
leaked certain information to the press, so it possible that she was asked to go because of these things I mentioned” he stated.

Leadership gathered that Chime,s wife might travel to London any moment from now for medical attention
