The affected Plane
A MedView Airlines aircraft heading to Abuja from Lagos, this morning turned back and made an emergency landing minutes after takeoff at the local wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport.
Passengers were then asked to take off their shoes and slide down the emergency exit.
Passengers report that the aircraft’s cabin became filled with smoke minutes after takeoff.
One of the passengers on the flight was former Ogun State governor, Genga Daniel.
All local flights have been moved to the airport’s international runway.
