A 75-year-old man identified as Elder David was said to have slumped and died after a sex marathon with an alleged married woman in Benin, Edo state capital.
Elder David was said to have died at about 1pm in a hotel in the Government Reservation Area of Benin City.
According to reports, one of the sons of the deceased told news men that his dad had left home 45 minutes before the tragic incident.
Leadership reports:
“We were called by the police to come to the Benin Central Hospital, only to see my father’s corpse. When we enquired, the doctors on duty said my father was brought stone-dead to the hospital.”
The woman was also present at the hospital but policemen ferried her away to prevent the mob from getting the better of her.
The corpse was deposited at the Central Hospital mortuary.
The Edo state Police image-maker, DSP Moses Equavoen, when contacted yesterday, said the command is yet to be briefed on the incident.
