A Nigerian has been arrested on suspicion of murder in the death of a Hollywood production assistant and police say the killing had to do with a dispute over money.

Obioha and Carrie Jean Melvin knew each other and had a financial dispute, reports KTLA.
Melvin, 30, was shot in the head on July 5 while walking with her boyfriend near Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.

Obioha, with civic ties and an emerging clothing line, contracted Melvin's new online business to market his company, Radke told the Los Angeles Times.
The dispute occurred when he wrote her a bad check that bounced and she threatened him with legal action, according to authorities. Melvin did not ever receive the money she was owed, police said.
Her father, Bernie, said he knew about the incident involving his daughter and a client who wrote a check that bounced.
He said it put a strain on her financially causing her to add shifts waitressing and that she was not able to celebrate his birthday or travel to the family's home for Father's Day.
'I'm thankful that he was apprehended and arrested, but we can't celebrate,' her father, Bernie Melvin told the Los Angeles Times.
On Facebook, Obioha is listed as the President and CEO of The Hoodfellas, Inc., and on the company's website it says he is a Morehouse College graduate and a US Army Veteran.
He had a storefront for his business, Hoods Inc. which sold T-shirts and hats, in the Mid-City neighborhood in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Times reported.
His home, the store and a marijuana dispensary adjacent to the store, where he worked as the guard, were raided on Friday, police said.
Obiaho reportedly served on the LAPD's community advisory board in the Wilshire area and as secretary to the Picfair Village Community Association, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Investigators believe that Obioha was lying in wait for Melvin when she was shot that Sunday night.
That night, the gunman crept up on her and pulled the trigger before making his getaway in a black Sedan.
The family of the Hollywood production assistant have said she was 'the happiest she had ever been'.
Miss Melvin, who grew up in Morro Bay, California, had moved to Hollywood four years earlier and worked as a waitress and bartender.
She had recently set up an online business and wanted to work in film, radio and digital media.
Her father said she had 'never been happier' before her life was brutally cut short on Sunday.
'Carrie was the happiest she has ever been...we knew this. She was with someone she loved. She was where she wanted to be, and her life was taken', he told KTLA.
He added: 'It's such an incredible, senseless loss. We're devastated.'
He revealed how his daughter had finished work and was on the way to dinner with her boyfriend when she was shot dead less than a half-block from their home.
The family does not believe the victim's boyfriend was involved in the crime and he is continuing to cooperate with the police.
