THE recent dissolution and non-reconstruction of boards of federal government parastatals and agencies has put on hold the release of Bar Final Examination results of the Nigerian Law School.

The results were originally billed for release on June 30, 2015 but was shifted till , Friday July 24, 2015. However, authorities of the Law School on Friday issued an “urgent notice” putting off the release of the results again.

The statement signed by E.O. Max-Uba, secretary to the council and Director of Administration of the school posted on its website read: “In view of the recent dissolution of the governing boards of parastatals and institutions of the Federal Government by the president, the Bar Final Examination results earlier scheduled to be released on July 24, 2015, after the usual ratification by the Board of Studies of the Council of Legal Education has been postponed.

The results shall now be published on Monday, August 3, 2015.
It has also been gathered that the situation is the same in other government agencies where board decisions are compulsory for the ratification of critical decisions.

On the non-publication of the Nigerian Law School Bar Final examinations results, it was learnt that the school’s foreign students are hardest hit because some of them were already in the country ahead of the original June 30 date for the release of the result before it was postponed till yesterday.

Checks on www.mynlsp.com, the official website of the school, revealed that the results were billed to be released on 30 June and no attempt was made to update the information until a flash was put up 11 days later on the sister website www.nigerianlawschool.edu.ng. The call-to-bar ceremony of the candidates which was scheduled for the 21st to 23rd of July also could not hold without any ammendment announced till date.

  1. Please correct to read: "...and non-reconstitution of federal government..." not 'and non-reconstruction'. Gues it's a typo. Cheers.
