One Week After Release: Jonathan’s CSO Rushed To Hospital

Barely one week after the chief security officer, CSO , to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Gordon Obuah, was released by the Department of State Services, DSS, he has been admitted at the National Hospital, Abuja for medical care.

LEADERSHIP learnt that the former CSO was admitted for medical attention yesterday following his deteriorating health.

Obuah, who reportedly suffers from diabetes and hypertension, took ill during the six days he was in the custody of his employers, the Department of State Service, DSS, where he was interrogated over security vote spendings and alleged money laundering.

Security sources said Obuah was rushed to the hospital where he was treated and later discharged.

The DSS had presented him before journalists at the DSS headquarters on July 22, 2015, following reports that he might have died in custody, where he addressed newsmen for about three minutes.

Obuah had told journalists that he was alive, hail and hearty , adding that the DSS management treated him courteously.

The former CSO was later released in the night to his family which had expressed concern over his whereabouts and well-being.

Attempt to confirm the development from the DSS proved abortive at press time as the service was yet to appoint a spokesperson.
