Imo Govt Declares 2-Week Holiday For Civil Servants Ahead Of Christmas

The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has declared a 2-week holiday for civil servants and public servants in the state ahead of the Yuletide.

The holiday, which commences from December 19 to January 5 2015 is to enable civil servants spend more time with their families and loved ones during this Yuletide.

According to a statement by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Mr Sam Onwumeodo, it is also to avail them the opportunity to prepare well for the huge work in the New Year.


He assured Imo people and those visiting the state that all necessary machinery have been put in place to ensure adequate security in all nooks and crannies of the state.

He urged all citizens to be of good conduct and help fish out criminals in their localities.

He wished the indigenes of the state and Nigerians at large a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year.
