Sacked Nigeria Football Federation boss, Alhaji Aminu Maigari, has been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Service.
Maigari was arrested in the early hours of Friday in Abuja.
Maigari, who led the depleted Super Eagles team back home from the World Cup in Brazil, was whisked away by the security men that were waiting for his arrival at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.
The whereabout of the embattled football administrator was unknown as at press time.
Members of Maigari’s board were on Thursday restrained from parading themselves as members of the NFF by an High Court sitting in Jos, Plateau. State.
Sources in the Super Eagles contigent hinted that the sacked president and some key members of his board where busy making frantic phone calls when their ouster news was broken to them on the way back to Nigeria.
One of them said: “We looked seriously worried and were making phone calls when we had a stop over in London.
“Both Maigari and Barrister Chris Green were trying to get the true picture of what is happening at home.”
