Tony Muonagor aka Tony One Week, who currently occupies the position of Minority Leader in the Anambra State House of Assembly, is currently set to battle with another entertainer who is launching a frontal attack for his seat.
Tony One Week, who has been a lawmaker since the 2011 election, will battle for the soul of Idemili North Constituency with Nollywood veteran and the state governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Nollywood and Entertainment , Bob Manuel Udokwu. Udokwu has declared his intention to contest for the position while the current occupier, also a Nollywood actor, is planning to retain his seat as the lawmaker representing Idemili North Constituency seat in the 2015 general elections. ‘
Tony One Week is actually on the seat that I am vying for; he is from the same Idemili North Constituency. He is there as an incumbent under the All Progressives Congress (APC), while I am contesting under the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA),’ Udokwu, who hit limelight as as a cast on now rested widely followed TV series, Checkmate, recently told newsmen in Abuja.
In a report by News Bulletin, the former Gulder Ultimate Search anchor disclosed that his decision to vie for the House of Assembly seat despite prominence in Governor Willie Obiano’s administration already, is to have a feel of grassroots politics. ‘Posterity will judge me fairly that I took action than not taking any at all or sit on my backside and complain,’ the Evil Genius star disclosed....
