Oscar Pistrious sentenced to 5 years in prison

For killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day in 2013, Oscar Pistorius has been sentenced to 5 years in prison.

The following was what she considered before imposing her sentence
1. Culpable homicide - 5 years in prison
2. For the Tasha shooting - 3 years in prison, suspended for 5 years
The two sentences will run concurrently



 Oscar Pistorius is also automatically unfit to possess a firearm. And all his certificates of competence seized

Implication: He is going to jail for only 5 years. He is eligible for parole after 10  months though.

 For those complaining about 5 years being too small, don't be shocked- he may be released after 8 months

 All Oscar needs to do now is to behave well in jail and he will be out in less than a year.
