Breast cancer has killed thousands of people across the globe including men and women.
October is an International Cancer Awareness Month (ICAM). Coincidentally, October 13 is an annual holiday set aside for Breast Cancer awareness also known as “No Bra Day”. It was reportedly introduced in 2011 by a Toronto-based plastic surgeon, Mitchell Brown and is now celebrated worldwide.
The need to step up Breast cancer campaign cannot be overstated because the rate at which the cancer kills women globally is quite alarming.
Meanwhile, men are not totally free from breast cancer, researches have proven that men can develop breast cancer, but it is about 100 times more common among women than men.
This breast cancer awareness is geared towards providing easier accessible breast cancer screenings, raise funds which will be used for further research to ascertain the causes, symptoms, prevention and cure of the deadly disease.
In the spirit of the Breast Cancer Awareness month however, women across the globe on Monday, October 13, 2014 set their breasts free from the bondage of bras.

Breast cancer survivors and supporters encouraged women to go topless and without bras for a more effective campaign.
However, there is no proof beyond reasonable doubts that wearing a bra increases the risk of breast cancer.
