Nigerian Gay And Lesbian Makes Uk Most Influential LGBT List!

This is a bit weird but it’s true. Bisi Alimi, one of Nigeria’s popular gay who fled to the UK after the Nigerian senate had decreed 14 years in prison for same sex marriage and popular lesbian Aderonike Apata have made the list of the 101 most influential lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender in UK.

This annual list which was compiled by The Independent UK is called The Rainbow List 2014, 1 to 101. Aderonike made the 41 in the list while Alimi appeared at number 80.

According to The Independent, the honors were given to those who have  bravely fought for the equal rights of LGBT even when equality wasn’t even legal.

Bisi Alimi is indeed a popular gay activist, Aspen fellow, award winning LGBT/HIV advocates, a public speaker and founder of the Kaleidoscope Trust. He made 80th in this year’s list.

Aderonike is a 46 year old LGBT asylum campaigner. She came into the lime light when she threatened to release a sex tape with her lover after UK Home office said she only made up the story of being a lesbian so she would not be deported back to Nigeria.
