Daily Mail & BBC Apologize Over Anambra Restaurant Selling Human Flesh Story

Governor Of Anambra, Obiano

It was the biggest story that trended on social media last week, the story of a restaurant which was discovered by security agencies of selling Human flesh to customers IN Akwa Anambra state

Bizarre it may  sound, what makes it more appalling and incredible  was that two credible international  media carried the story  on their platform

Good a thing that BBC and Daily Mail have realized their mistake, have  taken the story down and also have done the right thing by apologizing

See the apology from the two international  media giants  after the cut

See BBC apology below

“The story about the Nigerian restaurant which we published here was a mistake and we apologise. It was incorrect and published without the proper BBC checks. We have removed the story and have launched an urgent investigation into how this happened.

The BBC Swahili service’s reputation for accuracy and balance remains of paramount importance to us and we are taking the appropriate steps to insure that mistakes like this do not happen again.”
