Dozens of people are feared to have died after a bomb blast rocked Damaturu, the Yobe State capital on Saturday, May 16, 2015
.According to Premium Times, the explosion, suspected to have been carried out by Boko Haram insurgents, occurred around 11 am, with many dismembered human parts littering the scene of the blast.

A resident of the area, Abdulmalik Audu, the explosion happened behind the main Damaturu motor park where many commercial shops and stalls are located.
