Tension grips Kano metropolis as Muslim youths burn court over alleged blasphemous comment






Hundreds of Muslim youths on Friday morning burnt a Sharia court situated at Rijiyar Lemo area and took to the streets protesting an alleged blasphemous comment by a sect member of Tijjaniyya, Malam Abdul Nyass.

The youths marched from various parts of the state holding placards condemning the statement made by the sect member against the holy prophet Muhammad.


  The aggrieved youths  were sighted protesting towards Mandawari and Dandago areas as they marched to the Emir of Kano's palace to lay their complaint.
The youths and some old men were on the streets along with Muslim women condemning the culprit and calling for his punishment according to islamic rites.
The sect's leader who is a known figure among the followers of Tijjaniyya and made a statement against prophet Muhammad last week during his usual preaching at Goron Dutse general area of Kano metropolis.

  1. Why don't they look for the Sect leader instead of burning down government property? Don't they know where the sect leader and his group reside? Abi dem dey fear? Why not move down to where the Tijianiyya group are and have a duel with them? Which kind people be this sef?
