Super Eagles Striker, Emmanuel Emenike Loses Dad After An Ill-Fated Sugery In Dubai As Nigerian Football Community Mourns

Super Eagles player, Emmanuel Emenike lost his dad on Wednesday May 27th. The elder Emenike died after under-going surgery in a Dubai hospital. The footballer is currently in Dubai with his other family members to bring their father's corpse back home.

In a related development, Head coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi, has reached out to striker Emmanuel Emenike, over the death of his father, Pa Felix Emenike Ndukwu.


The Big Boss said he, the team and his assistants, feel the Fenerbahce man’s grief, but encouraged him to be strong.

“I can imagine what Emma is going through at the moment, the pain and the sense of loss that comes with losing someone as close and dear as one’s father,” Keshi said.

“On behalf of every member of the Super Eagles, including the coaches, back -room staff and the players currently in camp here in Abuja, I want to console him and ask him to be strong for those Pa Emenike Ndukwu has left behind. We ask God to also strengthen him and comfort him.
