Senator Ben Bruce’s Staff Lying Helpless in Indian Hospital

Meka Akerejola, a staff of Rhythm 94.7 FM Abuja owned by Senator Ben Murray-Bruce is lying helpless in an Indian hospital in need of an urgent kidney transplant operation.
News about Meka’s condition first went viral in the social media in 2012 when the hashtag #SaveMeka broke calling on Nigerian citizens to help raise funds for his treatment.
BREAKING TIMES gathered on Thursday that the Management of Silverbird Communications is yet to lift a finger of help since Meka’s travails began in 2012.

A Silverbird inside source who spoke to BREAKING TIMES on Thursday on condition of anonymity confirmed that Silverbird Chairman, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce declined an invitation to chair a private fundraising event for Meka in 2012.
“They haven’t given him a dime. It was so bad that for the Chairman to even attend a fundraising event organized for Meka in 2012, was a problem”, the source said.

Efforts to reach Senator Bruce to get his reaction failed on Thursday as his phone rang out.
Senator Bruce recently was in the media spotlight when he boasted via his Twitter handle, his decision to donate his wardrobe allowance to Osun State unpaid workers.
For those who live in the nation’s capital, Abuja, the name Meka Akerejola certainly rings a bell. He is a popular on-air personality on Rhythm FM 94.7 an adjudged one of Silverbird’s finest voices on radio.
He was diagnosed with end stage chronic kidney disease and was on a twice-weekly dialysis since 2012 before his current trip to India. He is billed for a kidney transplant in an Indian hospital.
Meka Akerejola is a native of Kogi state and graduate of Mass communication from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
