The remains of a 54-year-old pastor, Onyenonachi Agwu, his wife and two children have been laid to rest in Umukabia area of Umuahia, Abia State capital, The Trent learnt on Tuesday, June 16, 2015.
Agwu who was blind was the Overseer of Faith Healing Tabernacle Ministry at Nkwo Egwu area was discovered dead with his wife, two children and landlady in their apartment located at the town of Afugiri in Umuahia North Local Government Area of the state.
Members of his host community believed that he was full of divine powers as many people had reportedly received solutions to their problems through his prayers.
Different speculations have trailed the possible reason behind the tragic demise of the family.

Some people finger fumes from a generator while others speculate spiritual attack as the late cleric was said to have scheduled deliverance prayers for the sick children of his land lady on the fateful night.
According to a family source, the deceased bodies were discovered in the morning by neighbours while their generator, which was bought about three days before the incident, was still on.
The source said that in addition human remains, two domestic fowls were also found dead at the bathroom of the four-bedroom apartment while their corpses were found in different rooms in the four-bedroom bungalow.
It was gathered that the pastor’s wife and daughter were found in one room, the prophet at the dining area, the landlady was found around the passage, close to the electricity generator while the three dead fowls were found around the bathroom.

However, speculations are high that the deceased might have undergone some spiritual attacks by the forces behind the sickness of the landlady’s children.
The family source ruled out food poisoning as the possible cause of the multiple deaths even though they were said to have eaten rice prepared in the house that night.
The state police spokesperson, Mr. Ezekiel Onyeke, is yet to confirm the incident.
