Meet Ben Murray Bruce Baby Mama And Her Name Is Tina Vukor-Quarshie

I’m sure not too many of you know that Ben has a love-child? Well, the common sense Senator does and the name of the baby mama that gave birth to his  child is Tina Vukor-Quarshie

Who then is Tina Vukor-Quarshie?

Once upon a time Pharmacy graduate turned respected banker with IMB, Zenith, Platinum and so on. Married (to Prof. George Quarshie) and divorced, her secret romance with Silverbird boss, Ben Murray-Bruce produced a son, Cody. The one with erstwhile GB Bank boss, Fola Adeola’s brother equally brought forth another daughter, Sultana.


Below is a brief profile of the lady that was recently appointed into the board of Wema Bank




Tina Vukor-Quarshie hails from Edo State, where she began her educational pursuit at the Convent Girls Primary School, Benin-City and then proceeded to Idia College, a prestigious secondary school also in Benin–City to become the best graduating student in the West African School Certificate (W.A.S.C) Examination in 1977. She went further to obtain a Bachelors degree (Second Class, Upper Division) and then a Masters Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Whilst at the University of Ife, she was honoured with a National Merit Award by the Federal Government of Nigeria for scholastic excellence.




With a flair for finance, she went on to obtain an MBA degree in 1988 from the University of Benin, Benin - City and was the recipient of the Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia Prize for the best graduating student in Business Policy and the Chief Isaac Akinmokun Prize for the best graduating student in Entrepreneurial Development. She was awarded an Honourary Doctorate Degree by the Commonwealth University, Belize / London Graduate School in 2012.

Prior to her appointment as a non-executive Director on the board of Wema Bank Plc, 'TVQ', as she is fondly called, began her banking career with International Merchant Bank (IMB) Ltd as a credit analyst in 1988.


TVQ also had a stellar career in Zenith Bank Plc which she joined in 1990 as a pioneer member of staff, rising through the ranks and heading several divisions at senior management level including Treasury/Financial Institutions, Corporate and Correspondent Banking, Foreign Exchange, Retail Banking and Human Resources amongst others, before being appointed an Executive Director in 1999. She took a year’s sabbatical leave from banking after her voluntary exit from Zenith Bank Ltd in June 2000.


After a well-deserved rest, TVQ was practically dragged out of this self-imposed leave to re-enter the Nigerian Banking scene as Divisional Director, Commercial Banking at Guaranty Trust Bank Plc in 2001 and then to Platinum Bank Plc as Executive Director in 2002.


TVQ has served in various senior management roles and board positions across the banking industry and is currently the Chief Executive Officer/Chief Service Marshal of TVQ Consulting Group® - a training and consulting firm with a focus on Customer Service, Marketing and Leadership.

A well-decorated achiever who has won numerous local and international honours in her endeavours, TVQ is also a member of the prestigious Institute of Directors and a Lifetime Deputy Governor of the American Biographical Institute, North Carolina, USA.


She is a highly focused and career-minded lady who loves travelling, reading and listening to classical & jazz music.

She is a director with Silverbed Entertainment and  was recently appointed as director in Wema Bank
