‘Bird-Turned-Woman’ Finally Handed Over To Her Family In Lagos

Ajegunle woman

The family of an elderly woman, who was said to have transformed from a black bird into a human being, has finally been able to secure her release.

The woman was saved from being lynched in the Ajegunle area of Lagos after she was accused of being a witch.

She was said to have confirmed the accusation by claiming that she was on a trip back to her home base in Ibadan after a coven meeting but that her powers had failed.

However, her sons surfaced days later and said that their mother was no witch but she had somehow managed to leave their home in Iju-ishaga.

She has been handed over to her son and daughter-in-law by the police in Lagos.

Leadership reports:

Lagos State police command has handed over the woman who allegedly transformed from a bird to a human being in Ajegunle area of Lagos on Wednesday to her family.

There was speculation that three birds were flying and one fell on a moving vehicle and transformed to an old woman, along Ojo Road. Hundreds of spectators gathered around the woman who the crowd wanted to attack before she was saved by the traditional ruler of Layeni community, Bale Rafiu Olayeni.

The woman who is above 80 years old was later handed over by the police authority to her son and his wife at the state police headquarters, Ikeja.
