Beautiful Picture Of Lesbian Couple Holding Their Pregnant Bellies Goes Viral

Melanie and Vanessa Iris Roy, from North Carolina, USA, are hoping that the snap of them holding their pregnant stomachs will encourage other lesbian couples to carry children.

The heartwarming pic was originally shared two months ago on Melanie's Instagram account.


But this week an LGBT rights Facebook page shared their snap and it received over 150,000 likes in just a few days.

The first pic shows Vanessa holding her bump and was taken in 2014. A year later Melanie is holding her stomach and the couple's son Jax sits at their feet.

Melanie, who gave birth to daughter Ero in February, told the Huffington Post: "It’s crazy to see that people were referring to my family as an inspiration. We are still in complete shock.

"Vanessa and I have always said we would both like to carry.

"The woman’s body is incredible. The way it creates and grows another human being is amazing. We hope that our picture is that sign that some women may need to encourage them to carry a child."
The couple now regularly share snaps of their beautiful family and rightly so.
