According to DailyMail, the tribe, which lives in a remote corner of Ethiopia's Omo Valley, is home to an unusual ritual which sees young men gorge on cow's blood and milk in a bid to be crowned the fattest man.
Six months after starting the regime, the men emerge to show off their newly engorged physiques and for a winner to be chosen.
The champion fat man is then feted as a hero for the rest of his life.

There is nothing wrong with the pictures themselves. They show a people's who take pride in their culture and their beliefs.
ReplyDeleteNo one ever says anything negative about the brainwashing that the westernized culture pushes onto the masses on a daily basis. Are you telling me that no one sees anything wrong with the media dressing up young boys and girls and using them as sex objects (subliminally or upfront) to sell their products?
We have no right to judge anywhere or anyone else on the beliefs and traditions that they are accustomed to. Now I would never in my life agree with drinking animal blood, BUT I also don't agree with the mass production, torture and murder of animals here in North america to supply the grocery stores with "food" that usually ends up being wasted.
They probably look at the western cultures ways and think that we're the biggest sinners on this planet!!!
Did you yourself witness this? I work with the Dinka in South Sudan who have the same ritual, except no blood. They value their cattle far to highly to kill or harm one for blood. I plan to do more research, I land in Ethiopia tomorrow.
