Barring any last minute hitch, the remains of Chief Olusegun Agagu, former Governor of the western Nigerian state of Ondo, will be buried tomorrow in his hometown in Iju-Odo, Okitipupa Local Government Area, in the South Senatorial District of the State.
This was confirmed to P.M.News by the Publicity Secretary of the State Peoples Democratic Party, Ayo Fadaka.
Fadaka, also, confirmed that Agagu’s first son, Feyi; his son-in-law, Femi; and Feyi’s police orderly were among passengers of the ill-fated air craft, but that they all survived.
In his reaction to the airplane crash, Fadaka said: “In view of the development we appeal to our Party members and the people of Ondo State to remain calm as we believe that relevant agencies of Government will unearth the cause of this crash, we declare that any attempt to resort to violence will be negative.”
Meanwhile, the state government has urged residents of the state to be in a sober and prayerful mood.
In a statement released by Governor Olusegun Mimiko’s Chief Press Secretary, Eni Akinsola, the residents were encouraged to look up to God for solace, while the government awaits further information on the crash
