VIDEO:Lessons From Ethiopia: Nigerian Fans Must Change Their Attitude – Aluo

The Sun Newspaper Editor, George Aluo has described the massive support of fans cheering the Ethiopians at the stadium during their game against the Super Eagles on Sunday as the biggest lesson Nigerians must learn from their African counterparts.
“The kind of support that the Ethiopians had going for them in that game was just too massive. I think that is the best support I have seen anywhere in the world including Nigeria”.
Talking about the impact of the support on the team, he said “when you hear that kind of support, even if you are a cripple, you will stand up and walk”.
He complained about the lack of such support when the eagles play in Nigeria. “You need to see the streets (of Adiss Ababa) on the eve of the game, everywhere was taken over. It was like a carnival, the people were behind their team; old women, fathers, children, everybody was in their national colour”
“What you have here is people wearing Man U, people talking about Arsenal, people talking about Barcelona. We are not passionate about our national team”.
He however commended the Super Eagles for coming out victorious despite playing against a team that had a very massive support in a high altitude region. He also praised the government, the football federation and the supporters’ club for their proper planning for the game as well as the players for arriving in the training camp early.
Mr. Aluo concluded by calling on the Super Eagles to approach the second leg as if the first leg has not been played, because the Antelopes are coming to Nigeria determined to see if they can still get something out of the tie.

Maybe after that no other sick nation will try such dirty support on Nigeria Rubbish.
